Pixie was born on March 21, 1945, in St. Clair Shores, Michigan, to the late Lorne and Violet Musson. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.
She leaves behind her three daughters, Rita (David) Fryar of Little Rock, Arkansas; Anita Thomas of New Brockton, Alabama; and Tanya (Joe) Thomas of Clio, Alabama; her sister, June Gay of Dothan, Alabama; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and family members who were blessed to know and love her.
The family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the staff of SouthernCare Hospice for their love, kindness, and support they gave our family during this difficult journey. Whitney was Pixie’s favorite nurse. She was so kind to her and became such a special part of her final days. We will forever be grateful for the love you showed our Pixie. The family would also like to thank Cody Reeves for giving her that one last opportunity to sit on the side of the bed and stand up one last time. A special thank you to Carly with Enhabit Health for the special care she provided.
The family is requesting everyone to wear bright colors in honor of Pixie.
Serving the family as pallbearers are David “Bubba” Fryar, Jr., Bobby Strickland Jr., Cody Reeves, Richard Markwell, Preston Markwell, and Eddie Yates.
