Billie Jean (Bill) Capps

Billie Jean (Bill) Capps of Enterprise, AL passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at his home. He was 76.

The family will receive friends and extended family from 1:00PM until 4:00PM on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at County Line Baptist Church.

Bill was a devoted husband and a proud father and grandfather, remembered for his unwavering work ethic and strength of his love. He believed in tough love—

always encouraging others to be true to themselves and to work hard for what they wanted in life.

Bill had a special place in his heart for animals, especially chickens, and his connection to nature was a reflection of his gentle spirit beneath a strong exterior. Never one to hold back his thoughts, he spoke his mind with honesty and stood firmly for what he believed was right.

Generous and selfless, Bill was always willing to lend a hand to those in need. He made many sacrifices so that his family could have a better life than he had known growing up. His legacy of love, resilience, and integrity will live on through the generations.

He will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Annie Bell Capps; son, Randy Capps; sister, Mary Scarbrough; brothers, J D Capps and Willie Van Capps.

Survivors include his wife, Audrey Capps, Enterprise, AL; daughter, Daisy Kennington (Chris); son, Joshua Capps (Gabby); sister, Betty Kilpatrick (Junior); grandchildren, Sierra Webb (Jon), Easton Kennington (Cam), Cheyanne Kennington, Chloe Capps, Elisabeth Capps, Sophia Capps, Grayson Capps, Stella Capps; great-grandchildren, Levi Webb, Brantley Webb and two “on the way”.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Savannah and DaySpring Hospice for their loving care during his illness.
