Betty Sue Ramsey

Betty Sue Ramsey of Enterprise, AL passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Saturday, May 23, 2026. She was 90.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at New Brockton City Cemetery with Dr. Ben Bowden officiating and Searcy Funeral Home & Crematory directing. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until service time at the funeral home.

She was a devoted fan of Alabama football and never missed the chance to cheer on her team. She found great joy in the outdoors, especially while gardening and tending to her yard, where she spent many peaceful and happy hours. Above all else, she treasured the time she shared with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought endless pride and joy to her life.

Betty Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Ramsey; her parents, Lester and Alvie Lee Nichols Thompson; sisters, Eva Nell Hines, Virginia Turner, Mary Hazel Vanderlinde and Helen Ray McClain;

Survivors include her two daughters and sons-in-laws, Harriet Thomas (Robert) New Brockton, AL, Vicky Adams (Kevin) Enterprise, AL; four grandchildren, Taryn Rinehart (Steve) Daleville, AL, Stephen Thomas, Huntsville, AL, Charles Guy, FL, Kristen Fortner (Jamey) Enterprise, AL; ten great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Reba Blissitte (Jon) New Brockton, AL. Also surviving, are several nieces and nephews.
