Bessie Carol Kelley

We are saddened to announce that our mother, Bessie Carol Kelley, passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at the age of 96. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her most, offering support, wisdom, and love in abundance. A friend too many, she leaves behind a legacy of kindness and strength. 

To commemorate her journey through life and celebrate the love she shared, Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Meadowlawn Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to ACG Hospice or Serenity South Senior Living, 201 Wynn Road, Enterprise, AL 36330. We invite everyone who knew her to join us in honoring a truly remarkable woman.

Mrs. Kelley was preceded in death by her husband, William Howard Kelley; her parents, Lilly and Shelley Murdock; five brothers; four sisters; one grandson; and one great-grandson.

Survivors include her sister, Pearl Hernandez of Enterprise, AL; daughter, Jan Weaver (Don) of Enterprise, AL; son, Keith Kelley (Janice) of Lakeland, FL; son, Kenny Kelley (Cindy) of Manhattan, KS; son, Mark Kelley (Lynda) of Clarksville, TN; and daughter, Lisa Gorski (Bruce) of Madison, AL; Bessie is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
