Barbara Wilson of Newton, AL passed away Monday, December 23, 2024 at her home. She was 80.

A dedicated and passionate professional, Barbara's commitment to her work was only surpassed by her deep love for her family. Barbara cherished her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She took immense pride in raising her children and was actively involved in the lives of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her family was her heart, and she fostered a nurturing environment that encouraged love, growth, and togetherness.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years Wayne Wilson, son James Wilson and several brothers and sisters. 

Survivors include her granddaughter, Jamie Fooks (Christopher), Newton, AL; two grandsons, James Wilson, Newton, AL; Austin Wilson (Jessie), Bonifay, FL; great-granddaughter, Jameson Harison; great-grandson, Parker Wilson; sister, Ruby Thames, Montgomery, AL; several nieces and nephews.
