Biography

Loved Husband, Father, Big Dad, Uncle and Best Friend, Charles Floyd Hannen of New Hope, AL, passed away Monday, February 6, 2012, at his home. He was 76.

He was born in Alliance, Ohio and served in the Armed Forces. His passion was college football and he was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Lorelei; 2 daughters, Kimberley Rose Hannen, Tami Hannen Swanson (Michael); a son, Dr. Scott Hannen (Aneesa); grandchildren, Bobby Kopperud (Ashley), Mitchell Saunders, Chad Kopperud, Matthew Connolly, Rachel Connolly, Charles “Chas” Hannen, Colby Firios, Micah Firios, Skylar Swanson, Jacquelyn Hannen, Paul Hannen, Charles “Bruff” Hannen, Christina Berlinden (Tim) and Derek Hannen; great-grandchildren, Kennedy Hannen, Charlie Hannen, Natalie Berlinden, Kendra Berlinden and Harper Kopperud.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, February 10, 2012, at Glory To Him Church in Ozark, AL with Dr. Scott Hannen officiating. Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 to 7 PM Thursday.
